THE TRACK RECORD OF FAITHFULNESS

 

Have you ever wondered why God entrusts some people with great responsibilities that comes with loads of benefits? Why God grant some grace and anointing with unction to function on a huge platform? What is it about these men that makes God single them out for such uncommon enablement for great exploit? Most times, it is their TRACK RECORD OF FAITHFULNESS.

‘His Lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy Lord’ Matt. 25:21KJV

These men were faithful in little things, so God made them rulers over great things. Faithfulness in little things is the prerequisite for divine promotion because faithfulness in little things is faithfulness in great things (Luke 16:10). Faithfulness in little assignments placed in your hands makes you an ideal candidate for greater works.

David said unto Saul, Thy servant kept his father’s sheep, and there came a lion, and a bear, and took a lamb out of the flock: And I went out after him, and smote him, and delivered it out of its mouth: and when he arose against me, I caught him by his beard, and smote him, and slew him. I Sam. 17:34-35KJV

David, while in the field keeping his father’s sheep, never took it for granted, even when his brothers were part of the army of Israel which seem to be a greater course, he didn’t belittle his own assignment, he was faithful so much that when a lion and a bear attacked a sheep out of his father’s flock, he put his life on the line to rescue the sheep out of the mouth of the Lion. If he could do this of a sheep, how much more a human being when he becomes a ruler of men. Can you see how he positioned himself for greater responsibilities, he was faithful in the little assignment he was assigned, and that opened him up for greater posibilities.

Before long, the Jailer put Joseph in charge of all the other prisoners and over everything that happened in the prison. Gen. 39:22NLT

Joseph, having seen the sun, moon and the stars bow down to him knows he was destined for greatness, but when he found himself taking care of prisoners which he was also one, he was not discouraged, he was faithful to the assignment so much that the prisoners entrusted him with their secrets. His faithfulness paved way for opportunities and him, who was a prisoner became a prime minister of Egypt.

It doesn’t matter how great or little the capacity you have been assigned to serve, your faithfulness is what will make way for more. Many only show seriousness to responsibilities when it is of huge capacity or from a highly reputable source. You can’t take little things for granted and expect God to entrust you with greater things. It is a test and your performance will determine if you are reliable to be entrusted with greater responsibilities or not. Your TRACK RECORD OF FAITHFULNESS is a key that opens you up unto greater possibilities.
