THE MYSTERY OF BREAKTHROUGH
THE MYSTERY OF BREAKTHROUGH
Literally, breakthrough means overcoming an obstacle, breaking free off an hindrance or confinement, overcoming a hurdle or a challenge, breaking a limitation or even progressing beyond an initial state of stagnancy. In all these definitions, you can see an initial unfavourable condition; an obstacle, hindrance, confinement, limitation, stagnancy and likes. FOR THERE TO BE A BREAKTHROUGH, THERE MUST BE AN OBSTACLE, FOR THERE TO BE DELIVERANCE, THERE MUST BE CAPTIVITY. So obstacles or challenges are signs of potential breakthrough.
“Neither this man nor his parents sinned,” said Jesus, “but this happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him.
John 9:3 NIV
Jesus while going met a man that had been blind from birth, his situation was so critical that the disciples of Jesus were amazed, so pitiable that they asked Jesus,' who sinned, is it this man or his parent?', but Jesus answered that neither of them had sinned but such things are so that the work of God can be performed in his life.
Jesus recognized that no matter how critical or pitiable the man's situation was, it was an avenue for the work of God to be manifested, it was an avenue for the name of God to be glorified. Such is any challenge we find ourselves in as believers. The presence of challenges in our lives is not a sign of God's unfaithfulness, but an opportunity for the glory of God to be manifested through us. That men would see and recognize the ability of God to do all things through our testimony.
"No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it." 1 Corinthians 10:13 NIV
God did not promise us a trail-free or a temptation-free journey, He promised not to allow us to be tempted beyond what we can bear. All our trials and challenges are those that is common to mankind, so, in whatever you are going through, you must always know that as far as God allows it, you can overcome.
If the Israelites were not face with the red sea, how will you know that God can part the sea, If Lazarus did not die, how will you know that God can raise the dead, if Bartimaeus weren't blind, how will you know that God can give eyes to the blind, If there were no sick people, how will God prove himself as the great healer. Never be carried away by the raging of the storm, for a storm to rage, it shows there is one that can calm the storm and he will.
Never see God to be unfaithful because of your challenges, see them as an avenue to show forth the glory of God before all men, see your trials as an avenue for God to show himself to the world. Do not give up on Him, be determined, your life must be a testimony to God. You must persist in seeking God and trust in Him, He will never abandon His own. Remember, it is only those that endure to the end that will be have a testimony.
..............GOD BLESS YOU
