CONDITIONS FOR GOD'S PROMISES
CONDITIONS FOR GOD'S PROMISES
Philippians 4:19 "But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus".
This
is one of the passages we all claim for ourselves but have we tried to
wonder the reason behind this passage. Why did Apostle Paul prayed this
prayer for the Philippian church?
From
Phil 4:14-19; We can see that the church in Philippi met the need of
Apostle Paul during the early days of the Gospel ministry.
Verse 15/16 revealed they were the only church that partnered with him, meeting his needs. Because of this sacrifice, he pronounced a blessing upon them (verse 19).
Verse 15/16 revealed they were the only church that partnered with him, meeting his needs. Because of this sacrifice, he pronounced a blessing upon them (verse 19).
It
is very good to claim God's promises and blessings in his word, but we
have to fulfil the condition attached to them. When we fulfil the
condition, then the promise can be manifested. The Philippian church met
the need of the servant of God, and they received the blessing.
For us to reap (the manifestation of God's promises), we must sow (fulfil the condition attached to each promise).
There are three major fertile soil to sow in order to have a bountiful harvest:
1. The work of God (indirectly giving to God)
2. The servants of God (the anointed of God)
3. The needy (those who in no way can pay back such good deeds)
Galatians 6:7 "Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap".
ACTION POINT
Luke
6:38, "Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed
down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your
bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be
measured to you again".
