SPICE UP YOUR PRAYER WITH THANKSGIVING
Thanksgiving is like a sauce that make our prayers attractive to God. It gives our prayers a sweet smelling savour/aroma that attract the attention of God.
"Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, WITH THANKSGIVING, let your requests be made known to God" Philippians 4:6 NKJV
The bible besought that our request be made unto God with thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is an assurance of result. When you pray with thanksgiving, we appreciate Him for answering prayers even before we see the physical manifestation and we put God in a position to prove Himself, and because He is a God of integrity, He will prove Himself for his name sake.
"in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you." I Thessalonians 5:8, 18 NKJV
Thanksgiving is the will of the father. A heart of thanksgiving is a heart that always receives from God because its a heart that is doing the will of God. A joyful and cheerful heart is a habitation of God's blessings and testimony.
Thanksgiving is a weapon that breaks through every barrier of doubt and fear. Thanksgiving in requests is putting our faith to work. It is more or less the assurance of things hoped for. When you thank God in prayers, you indirectly declare to the whole world that God is able to do it and He won't fail.
"Then Jesus said to him, “Unless you people see signs and wonders, you will by no means believe.” John 4:48 NKJV
God knew except the people see signs and wonders, they won't believe, so, when we make our requests with thanksgiving, we insinuate that God has answered our requests and he will answer so the people might know that he is God.
Making requests with thanksgiving is putting our faith to work. As we know that faith without works is dead.
"Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead."
James 2:17 NKJV
Make your request to God with thanksgiving and God will be compelled to prove himself for his name sake.
