THE DANGER OF ANGER PART 1

THE DANGER OF ANGER  PART 1

Have you ever wonder why someone, after a very power prayer meeting with a great assurance of being blessed, falls into the temptation of anger, and after the whole display of explosion, he/she feels so empty like everything is gone/lost.

“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy……” (Jn 10:10 NIV)

Anger is one of the weapons the devil uses to steal from believers. Once you fall for it, you have opened a crack on your wall for the lizard (devil) to enter.
No wonder the bible says,

“Do not hasten in your spirit to be angry, For anger rests in the bosom of fools. (Eccl 7:9 NKJV)”

It is indeed foolishness to gather together and allow the enemy to steal away the harvest.

THREE MAJOR PERIODS THE DEVIL IS LIKELY TO STEAL FROM YOU

1.     When you are weak, tired, weighed down, sad or asleep (Matt. 4:1-11)
In the passage, it was when Jesus had fasted for forty days and was hungry that the devil found it as the best time to tempt him.

2.     When you are likely to be distracted, exploiting your weakness (Judges 16)
Samson weakness was lust, the enemy came when he lusted after the strange woman ‘Delilah’, who got him drunk (was distracted),  deliver him to the destroyers

3.     Immediately after you have just gotten a victory (I Samuel 15)
Saul, after winning a major battle, he was carried away with that he disobeyed the instruction God gave to him. The devil had to wait for him till he got the victory, then struck. The devil is very wise because he knows you will be carried away with celebration when you just got a victory so he will creep in.

Just like the devil uses lust, pride, unpleasant situations to distract us, ANGER is also a weapon the enemy uses to steal our blessings, breakthrough and God’s promises from us, making God to be a liar. Some Christian soon will be asking, GOD, WHERE IS YOUR FACE?
If only we can be sensitive to the wiles/tricks of the devil and war against it

“in order that Satan might not outwit us. For we are not unaware of his schemes.” (2 Cor 2:11 NIV)
