'COME !', THE GREAT INVITATION
THE GREAT INVITATION
“Come now, and let us reason together,” Says the Lord , “Though your sins are like scarlet, They shall be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They shall be as wool. Isaiah 1:18 NKJV
This is a great invitation from the Lord to the world. Are you a sinner? Have you given up thinking you cannot be forgiven? Are you a backslider thinking all hope is lost? The Lord is calling with his arms opened to receive you with love back to himself.
Remember the parable of the prodigal son:
I will arise and go to my father, and will say to him, “Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you, and I am no longer worthy to be called your son. Make me like one of your hired servants.” ’ “And he arose and came to his father. But when he was still a great way off, his father saw him and had compassion, and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him.
Luke 15:18-20 NKJV
He took all his share of his father's inheritance and went away. By right, he had no inheritance left with the father, still when he returned, the father with an open hand received him and made a feast for him. Even so is there a feast in heaven for every sinner or backslider that returned to the Lord.
Likewise, I say to you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.” Luke 15:10 NKJV
Remember Apostle Paul who was named Saul, he persecuted the followers of Jesus Christ. He was a man whose Job was to arrest and kill the followers of Jesus, but when he had an encounter with Jesus, he was totally transformed and became one of the greatest Apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Are you struggling with sins, this word is for you;
“...Do not be afraid. You have [indeed] done all this evil; yet do not turn away from following the Lord , but serve the Lord with all your heart. You must not turn away, for then you would go after futile things which cannot profit or rescue, because they are futile. The Lord will not abandon His people for His great name’s sake, because the Lord has been pleased to make you a people for Himself." 1 SAMUEL 12:20-22 AMP
Yes indeed you have sinned, you might have even forsaken God, but if you would genuinely repent and serve God with all your heart, if you could make up your mind not to go after vain and futile things and seek after the Lord, he won't abandon you, he will receive you with an open arm and take your burdens and pains away and meet your needs for HIS NAME SAKE.
why not heed to the call, why not come to Jesus, He is the only way to the father.
"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." John 14:6 KJV
"But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name"
John 1:12 KJV
Declare Jesus now as your Lord and personal saviour. Confess your sins, ask Him to forgive you and wash you clean with His blood,invite him into your life to be your Lord and He will come to you.
"Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me." Revelation 3:20 NIV
