IT IS FINISHED

This lesson discuss the revelation in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. When we are aware of the significance of this huge sacrifice in the life of a believer, we will begin to walk in the victory that Jesus Christ  has given us.
The statement 'IT IS FINISHED' was declared by Jesus Christ on the cross, which can be said to mean 'it is accomplished'. What is then finished? What has been accomplished?

1. THE DOMINION OF SIN HAS BEEN DESTROYED

A natural man cannot be free from sin, because he is still under the influence of the flesh, so the sacrifice of Jesus Christ release the divine enablement for believers to live above sin. Jesus lived without sin, yet was bruised for our iniquities and took our sins to the grave. He destroyed the power of sin over us.

He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. 1 John 3:8 KJV

 Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil, which is SIN.

For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. Roman 6:14 kjv


So brethren, let us begin to walk in that dominion that Jesus Christ has given us and live above sin

2. THE POWER OF INFIRMITIES HAS BEEN BROKEN

That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses. Matthew 8:17 KJV

From the passage, we can see that Jesus took our infirmities and put it upon Himself. He bore our sickness upon Himself and carried it to the grave.

But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. Isaiah 53:5 KJV

The stripes that was on the body of Jesus represent the sickness and infirmities of men, he took all to the grave and resurrected with a glorious body. He took them to the grave and didn't return with them.
So, because Jesus took our sickness away, we are to walk in the victory over sickness that Jesus has given to us. Are you under oppression of infirmities, call Jesus now, that infirmity shall be no more in Jesus Name.

3. THE CURSE OF THE LAW HAS BEEN BROKEN

Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: Galatians 3:13 KJV

The adamic curse brought upon man due to disobedience has been broken by Jesus. It took the blood of a God to break the curse pronounced by a God upon humanity. What a wonderful blessing. Are you struggling? are you toiling without productivity? are you in pains thinking that the adamic curse is still upon you?
Arise and decree, 'THE CURSE HAS BEEN BROKEN IN JESUS NAME'. It is time we start walking in the freedom that Jesus has given unto us. Every curse that can ever be upon man has been broken as far as we are connected to Jesus.

4. EVERY LEGAL DEMANDS AGAINST US HAS BEEN REVOKED

having canceled out the certificate of debt consisting of legal demands [which were in force] against us and which were hostile to us. And this certificate He has set aside and completely removed by nailing it to the cross. COLOSSIANS 2:14 AMP

Every legal right the enemy has against our lives has been revoked, every paternal and maternal influence by ancestral enemies has been removed and nailed to the cross. The dept has been paid by his blood and we have been made free, so we can walk in the newness of life in Christ Jesus. We must start walking in the dominion we have been reborn into.
