MISPLACED PRIORITY; POWER OVER PURITY

MISPLACED PRIORITY; POWER OVER PURITY

"I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.  However, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.” Luke 10:19‭-‬20 NIV

Believers of this generation have been so carried away with signs and wonders rather than focussing on the foundational truth of our calling. Many at times, you get soaked in the awe of a very powerful ministration, but have you taken time to ask yourself, 'Have your life been transformed in any way?'

The more you continue to esteem power and the gifts of the Holyspirit over holiness, humility and the fruits of the spirit, the supernatural will only be an mirage but no manifestation.

Jesus made the priority known so that the disciples will not be carried away with the power and authority that has been given to them. He said to them,'do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven'.

The manifestation of signs and wonders is for the unbelievers to see the glory of God and come to the knowledge of Him.

“Unless you people see signs and wonders,” Jesus told him, “you will never believe.” John 4:48 NIV

The gifts of the Holyspirit are also given for the edification of the body of Christ, but that's not the foundation on which the body of Christ is built.

Manifestation of signs and wonders is a core aspect of Christianity, very Paramount, but when it get to a level that believers give it more prominence than the sacrifice of Jesus on the Cross and more that the virtue of purity without which no man can make heaven, then something is wrong.

Do you know without purity, you cannot have access to God.

"Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord ? or who shall stand in his holy place?  He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully." Psalms 24:3‭-‬4 KJV

Do you know without purity, no man can make heaven?

"Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord" Hebrews 12:14 KJV

The bible says,
"But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you" Matthew 6:33 KJV

Why run after "all these things", and ignore the important instruction "seeking first the kingdom of God and his righteousness".

Many are hungry for miracle, signs and wonders but don't care about seeking the kingdom of God. Many are desperately desiring the gifts of the Holyspirit but are unconcerned about bearing the fruits of the spirit.

Moses had the power, he missed the promise land due to anger, Judas Iscariot was one of the disciples, so I believe he was given power and authority too, but his covetousness ended up his life.

Giving more reference to power and the gifts of the Holyspirit over Holiness, humility and the fruits of the spirit is nothing but a MISPLACED PRIORITY.

            ........GOD BLESS YOU
