THE ARM OF FLESH 2
Another way a man can trust in the arm of flesh is putting his trust in a man. Man is limited in all his ways and there is a limit to what a man can do.
A natural man is fast to make promises (due to ego), but when it comes to fulfilling promises, its a tug of war. Putting a man in the place of God is a mistake made by even many so called Christians.
"This is what the Lord says: “Cursed is the one who trusts in man, who draws strength from mere flesh and whose heart turns away from the Lord . That person will be like a bush in the wastelands; they will not see prosperity when it comes. They will dwell in the parched places of the desert, in a salt land where no one lives" Jeremiah 17:5-6 NIV
Beloved, our Father is loving, he knows what we need even before we ask,
"... for your Father knows what you need before you ask him" Matthew 6:8 NIV
All He is waiting for is for you to trust Him and put Him in the position of being the only one you depend on, so you will give all the glory to Him when He gives you your heart desire.
For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes in Him [whoever adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Him] will not be disappointed [in his expectations].” ROMANS 10:11 AMP
God will never share his glory with any man, that is why He won't answer when you still put your hope in a man, because if He answers you, you might not give Him the glory, you might think its the work of a man, so He waits until you have tried all you can, the when all hope seem lost and you now come back to Him for help, He now answers, now, it'll be easy to glorify Him
Many at times we give the place of God in our lives to a man, we spend our days in the university hope one uncle or aunty in a company will get us a job, we live our lives pleasing men hoping they will connect us to a better job, we would rather offend God than offend man so we won't miss out on the benefit we could receive from mere men.
Do you know that if the way of a man please God, He will make everyone to be at peace with him and to favour him, even his enemies?
"When a man's ways please the Lord , he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him" Proverbs 16:7 KJV
Glorifying men more than glorifying God has become the custom of this day. We can transgress the commandments of God but we dare not bend the traditions of men.
"Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen" Romans 1:24-25 KJV
Hmmmm!WHO IS MAN? A MAN THAN CAN GIVE UP THE GHOST AT THE SNAP OF A FINGER.
Many times, believers have given glory to the vessel rather than God working through them. We get carried away with the wisdom of words and manifestation of the gifts of the holy spirit, indirectly glorifying the carrier of this virtues rather than glorifying the Giver of there beautiful gifts.
Brethren, the awesomeness and manifestion of God's power in a service isn't just because of the spirituality of the vessel but the sign that God is willing to manifest His power. Sometimes the open and hungry heart of the people compels God to move amongst them, at the end of the day, we give glory to the vessel (the man).
God is earnestly waiting for those that will completely trust in Him, those that will totally depend on Him, look up to Him, and glorify Him when He manifests His power. God does not take delight in the suffering of His children, He wants to be glorified through them. Make God your arm and you will never be put to shame.
