THE POWER OF POSITIVE THINKING
"For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he ..." Proverbs 23:7 KJV
Do you know you are a product of your thoughts. Your thoughts don't just influences you, they are exactly who you are. When thoughts are conceived, they fill the subconscious, thereby voluntarily and involuntarily manifesting in your speech and actions. Your speech and actions are totally dependent on your thoughts.
"Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death." James 1:15 KJV
Even sin start from the thoughts. When evil desires or lust is conceived or formed in the mind, surely the manifestation of such evil desires will then be glaring in speech and action.
"Then the Lord said to Cain, “Why are you angry? Why is your face downcast? If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must rule over it.”
Genesis 4:6-7 NIV
God forewarned Cain about an impending sin because his face was downcast and his heart was filled with envying and hateful thought against his brother, and it was manifested in his actions. No wonder the bible says,
"Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it." Proverbs 4:23 NIV
POSITIVE THOUGHTS PRODUCE POSITIVE WORDS
“No good tree bears bad fruit, nor does a bad tree bear good fruit. Each tree is recognized by its own fruit. People do not pick figs from thornbushes, or grapes from briers. A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of." Luke 6:43-45 NIV
Your words are direct result of the processing of your mind. Have you met someone whose word are always vulgar and perverse? that is what the heart is full of. Have you met someone whose words are always filled with optimism and faith? that's the kind of heart such person has.
Positive thoughts produce positive result. As a believer, we walk by faith not by sight, even when the circumstances is saying otherwise, our thoughts must always be filled with God's promises for us, and as we meditate on this, through our faith, we call out these promises out into manifestation.
When we meditate on the word of God, we agree with God, when we doubt the word of God and allow fear to set in, we agree with the devil. Whoever we agree with, there will always be result, the kind of result is what differs.
THERE IS POWER IN AGREEMENT
The best way to change a man is to change his thought. When you change his thought, you change his reasoning, his speech, his actions, then his life is transformed completely. That is why we were besought to renew our mind always with the word of God, so we can be transformed and manifest Godliness.
"Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will."Romans 12:2 NIV
