FAITH OR FOOLISHNESS?
FAITH OR FOOLISHNESS?
God will never do for a man what he should do for himself.
Mediocrity has crept into the body of Christ, one of the reasons being that we have substituted hard work for hard faith. Of course the bible tells us not to depend on our strength but that isn't a reason for idleness and laziness.
"Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men." Proverbs 22:29 KJV
Even the bible stated that diligence is a key factor in achieving success in whatsoever we lay our hand upon. But when people give the place of diligence and adequate preparation to faith, then, the result is can be easily predictable. Our prayers becomes effective when we fulfil the conditions attached to our requests.
Most times we pray for riches and wealth, but do we have a lifestyle of giving? We pray for mercy, but are we merciful, we pray for power, but have we purged ourselves, We pray for success, but have we put in our effort to prepare adequately.
"Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap." Galatians 6:7 KJV
"But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully." 2 Corinthians 9:6 KJV
There is a place for sowing and reaping. It is a standing principle. When you sow sparingly, you will reap sparingly, when you sow bountifully, you will reap bountifully. This passage isn't limited to giving offerings or helping those in need, it also applies to the effort we put in our day to day activities. When you prepare hard for an exam putting your trust in God, He will crown your effort with success. When you work hard in you business or you work, promotion is certain.
"I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase." 1 Corinthians 3:6 KJV
That is apostle Paul saying he planted and Apollos watered. The place of God is to give increase to what we have planted, not to plant and water. The place of God is to crown our effort with success and not to put in the effort on our behalf. Even in ministry, we have our roles to play. Why would Jesus be led into the wilderness to fast for forty days and forty nights before going into ministry since He is the son of God ?
Brethren, let us not be deceived,
"For even when we were with you, we gave you this rule: “The one who is unwilling to work shall not eat.” 2 Thessalonians 3:10 NIV
We have been put aside for too long, It is high time we take our place which is the head. It is the desire of God that all his children be the best in everything they do, but when the children refuse to work hard, how will they be the head. Let's not present Christianity as a lifestyle of mediocrity. Christianity isn't a collection of commoners, we are victors because Jesus has overcome on our behalf and this victory has been transfered to us.
"Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might,..." Ecclesiastes 9:10 NIV
We are ambassadors of Christ, even in every areas of our lives, the glory of God must be seen, not just in words but in manifestation.
If we are ready to plant and water, God is ready to give the increase. When we fulfil our part, God will fulfil his part.
........GOD BLESS YOU
