GOOD WORKS SPEAK

GOOD WORKS SPEAK

"There a centurion’s servant, whom his master valued highly, was sick and about to die. The centurion heard of Jesus and sent some elders of the Jews to him, asking him to come and heal his servant. When they came to Jesus, they pleaded earnestly with him, “This man deserves to have you do this, because he loves our nation and has built our synagogue.” So Jesus went with them." Luke 7:2‭-‬6 NIV

Good works are seeds sown for a future harvest. The testimony of the people about the centurion pleased Jesus. He was a man that love the Jews and even built synagogue for them to worship God, but when the time of trouble came, his good works spoke for him, the people pleaded with Jesus earnestly to heal his dying daughter, and Jesus went with them. It was the servants of the centurion that actually pleaded on his behave, that shows how good he had been to them.

Many treat other people with disregard because of their present situation, many look down on other because of their present unfavourable state, the fact is no one knows who will be in the position to help in the future.
Look at the case of Naaman,

"Now bands of raiders from Aram had gone out and had taken captive a young girl from Israel, and she served Naaman’s wife. She said to her mistress, “If only my master would see the prophet who is in Samaria! He would cure him of his leprosy.” 2 Kings 5:2‭-‬3 NIV

It was a servant girl that was in the position of helping her master. It was through her that Naaman got to know about the prophet, and as a result, he was healed of leprosy. You could imagine how good Naaman or his wife would've been to the servant girl. Never look down on anyone, they might be in the position of helping you tomorrow.

"Peter went with them, and when he arrived he was taken upstairs to the room. All the widows stood around him, crying and showing him the robes and other clothing that Dorcas had made while she was still with them.  Peter sent them all out of the room; then he got down on his knees and prayed. Turning toward the dead woman, he said, “Tabitha, get up.” She opened her eyes, and seeing Peter she sat up." Acts 9:39‭-‬40 NIV

This is the story of dorcas, she was very hospitable, very generous. She gave clothes to the widows, helped their needs but when dorcas became sick and died, her good works spoke for her, they sent for Peter to raise her up, even the widows were in tears telling peter the good works Dorcas has done for them, imagine the level of compassion that would be in the heart of peter for Dorcas and the people, in the end , Dorcas was raised up from the dead.

What are your goods works that will speak for you in the time of harvest? have you been sowing right?  have you been touching lives? the time of harvest is almost here.

"Let the one who does wrong continue to do wrong; let the vile person continue to be vile; let the one who does right continue to do right; and let the holy person continue to be holy.” Revelation 22:11 NIV

"Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows." Galatians 6:7 NIV

Whatsoever you sow, you will reap, the harvest is almost here

                                  ...........GOD BLESS YOU
