INTERSESSIONS FOR THE LOST SHEEP
INTERSESSIONS FOR THE LOST SHEEP
"But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them." 2 Corinthians 4:3-4 KJV
This is a practise in Christianity that has long been forgotten by many. Intersession for the lost souls to be saved is a very crucial sacrifice that God expects from us. The gospel seem to be hidden to the lost because the god of this world (the devil) has blinded their mind so that the word won't have impact in their lives, so that the light of the gospel won't shine unto them. No wonder many hear the word and are not transformed, no wonder many even make the word a subject of jesting and ridicule.
There is a need for us to intercede on their behalf before God so that this veil can be removed, there is a need for us to stand in the gap on their behalf so that the glorious light of the gospel may shine upon them so that they won't be destroyed.
"I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth." 1 Timothy 2:1, 3-4 KJV
It is the duty of all believers to make intersessions for all men, this is the desire of God, this is what he expects of us. The gospel isn't limited to our own salvation and those of our loved ones alone, but the salvation of all men, it is the desire of God that all men be saved, God expects us to make intersession for our family members, friends and all men that they may all come to the knowledge of Christ.
One attribute that make one qualified to carry the anointing of God to do exploit is the compassion for lost souls. This attribute was seen in Jesus although His ministry on earth, he had great compassion for those that were lost. He never judged the lost, he taught them, healed them, fed them, comforted them and reveal himself unto them as the Messiah. As followers of Christ, we are not meant to judge those that are lost, neither are we to condemn but in compassion intercede for them and show them the only way to the Father (Jesus).
“I looked for someone among them who would build up the wall and stand before me in the gap on behalf of the land so I would not have to destroy it, but I found no one." Ezekiel 22:30 NIV
God is always looking for those that will stand in the gap for sinners so they won't be destroyed in their sins and that they would come to the knowledge of Christ and their inheritance in God. Don't watch sinners in your home, family, community, nation and generation be destroyed, God is waiting for you to make intersession for their salvation on your kneels. Hell isn't a place any of our love one's should end up, Let's leek God's face for all that are lost so the kingdom of God may come upon the earth.
......GOD BLESS YOU
