THE SACRIFICE OF THE WICKED
"The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the Lord : but the prayer of the upright is his delight." Proverbs 15:8 KJV
Have you wondered why many pray, sow seeds, work in the house of God, even minister in christian gatherings and its more or less everything they do is not accepted by God. Have you wondered why many fast and pray but there seem to be no answer to their requests. When we offer sacrifice of praises unto God, their is supposed to be a move of God's power in the life of the one offering praises to God, but when nothing seem to happen, then one has to consider some factors, and one of them is the nature of the one offering the sacrifice.
The word of God say that God takes delight in the prayer of the righteous but the sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination unto Him. Who is the wicked?
"The wicked [those who live in disobedience to God’s law]..." PSALM 1:4 AMP
The Amplified bible define the wicked to be one who live in disobedience to God's law. ARE YOU LIVING IN OBEDIENCE TO GOD'S COMMANDMENTS?, ARE YOUR WAYS PLEASING TO HIM?, IS GOD PROUD OF YOUR LIVING? IS YOUR HEART PURE? ARE YOUR HANDS CLEAN? Our God is very loving but He cannot behold iniquities,
"And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?" Matthew 27:46 KJV
If God could forsake His only begotten son because He was carrying the sins of the whole world, how much more me and you. The standard of God remain the same, even from generation to generation, from dispensation to dispensation, ANY SACRIFICE OFFERED UNTO GOD IN UNRIGHTEOUSNESS CANNOT BE ACCEPTED.
"Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee; Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift."
Matthew 5:23-24 KJV
Jesus revealed unto us how our gifts can be accepted by God. He encourage us to be at peace with one another, because any sacrifice offered in strife, unforgiveness and malice cannot be accepted by God. Unforgiveness has robbed many people of the answer to their prayers. Forgive all that you have anything against, be sure you are in a right stand with God before you can expect your prayers to be answered.
HAVE YOU BEEN PRAYING AND NOTHING SEEM TO HAPPEN, HAVE YOU BEEN TRUSTING GOD FOR ONE THING OR THE OTHER, WHY NOT RETRACE YOUR STEP AND SEE WHERE YOU HAVE MISSED IT. BE RECONCILED WITH GOD AND EXPERIENCE AN AVALANCHE OF ALL YOUR LONG TERM BLESSINGS THAT HAS BEEN ON HOLD.
"Behold, the Lord's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear." Isaiah 59:1-2 KJV
