LET YOUR LIGHT SHINE
Jesus gave us a commandment to let our light shine before all men so that they may see our Good works and glorify our Father in heaven. Now the question is, WHAT EXACTLY DOES THE LIGHT MEANS? Then HOW EXACTLY CAN WE SHINE THE LIGHT?
"That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not." John 1:9-10 KJV
Jesus Christ is the true light. He is the Light that shines in darkness that darkness cannot comprehend. He is the Light shown to lead men back to the Father. As many that have Jesus in them have the light 'lighting' them up from within. The outer glory and manifestations we see is as a result of the Light that is dwelling within.
"Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house." Matthew 5:14-15 KJV
Jesus said we are the light of the world because we have the true Light dwelling in us. We are the carrier of the Light, when the world sees the light in us, they will come to our Light which will lead them to God. When Jesus was on earth, He had a body, but now, we are His body, He is the Light dwelling in us leading (or reconciling) men back to God.
"Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven." Matthew 5:16 KJV
Don't let your light be hid, don't allow the world to intimidate you, don't allow men to push your aside, SHINE YOUR LIGHT. Shining your light means letting men see the Jesus in you. Showcasing the Jesus in you, and as they see your exploit for God, they Glorify your father in heaven. You are not saved only to make heaven but to draw men unto Him that saved you, showcase Jesus, let Him be seen in you, witness Jesus to all the inhabitant of the earth, show forth His power and glory to the world bring them to the knowledge of Christ.
May it be said concerning us that we didnt SHRINK into a corner and waste the days we were given doing what we have to do rather than rising to take on the challenge of becoming all we were created to be. (TY DUNAMIS)
