THE PURE IN HEART
THE PURE IN HEART
Purity is not something you put (impose) upon yourself or wear as garments, but it is a virtue of the heart whose influence reflects all through the life of a believer.
It is not just a thing of the external (seen by all), what is seen should be a reflection of what is inside. When the outward appearance seem pure but the heart is evil, such is termed to be hypocrisy, i.e. leaving a pretentious life. No matter how long one exhibit purity in hypocrisy, the evil and corrupt nature will still be manifested because there will always be interference between the fake (pure) nature and the real (evil) nature of such person.
True purity is the purity from the heart. You cannot be pure in heart and live ungodly, neither can you be impure in heart and live a godly life, there must be an agreement between your heart and your outward expression.
ONLY THE PURE IN HEART SHALL SEE GOD.
"Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God."
Matthew 5:8 KJV
Because our God is pure and cannot behold uncleanness, only the the pure in heart shall see Him. Holiness is the major criteria to make it to heaven.
"Nothing impure will ever enter it, nor will anyone who does what is shameful or deceitful, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of life." Revelation 21:27 NIV
ONLY THE PURE IN HEART HAVE ACCESS TO THE PRESENCE OF GOD
"Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord ? or who shall stand in his holy place? He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully." Psalms 24:3-4 KJV
Have you wondered why many go to the presence of God but only few have encounter with Him, only few have true fellowship with Him, only few truly worship the father? That's because only few are indeed pure in heart. The bible says "what communion does light has with darkness?", so then can purity not commune with impurity. He is the father of light and cannot commune with darkness. Only the pure in heart have access to his secret place, only the pure in heart have access to the storehouse of God's power, only the pure in heart have access to God's fatherhood.
GOD'S GOODNESS ARE FOR THE PURE IN HEART
"Surely God is good to Israel, to those who are pure in heart."
Psalm 73:1 NIV
The goodness of God are for those that are pure in heart. The bible says "eyes have not seen, ears have not heard, and it has not come to the heart of men, the things that God have in stock for those that love him". It is only the prayers and supplications of the pure in heart that gets to the throne of grace. God has made every good thing available for the pure in heart, because such heart is pleasing to the father, and such life is a worthy temple of God.
for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.” 1 Peter 1:16 NIV
This instruction is not for the sake of God, but for our sakes, that we might have access to God and everything he has made available for us to fulfil his plan and purpose for our lives.
