IS GOD WICKED?
For a long time, men has ascribed the wickedness in this word to God, many have question God's love and benevolence due to the great level of wickedness on earth today, many have paint God in the wrong image, which has begin to make many wonder if indeed God is behind all the wickedness of the world.
Many even say, "If God is indeed in control of the earth, then why would he allow all this evil to happen?" This has even made many question God's existence. For us to know the truth, let's go back to the beginning.
"So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth." Genesis 1:27-28 KJV
When God created man, He gave him dominion over all the things He created, to rule and to reign, so man was more or less the god of the earth. This was God's intention, for man to rule over the earth as He is God over all things, no wonder He comes to commune with Adam, so he will draw wisdom and strength from Him. Adam was in charge, anything that happens on earth happens at his command, any name he called the animals, that became their names even till this day, he walked in dominion and authority, but he never understood the weight of the authority and dominion God gave to him.
"He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil." 1 John 3:8 KJV
When someone commits sin, at that moment, the devil has access to such life and everything in it. Sin is a crack on the wall that gives the devil access in one's life. It is the enemy within that open the door for the enemy without. When Adam disobeyed God, at that moment, he became subjected to the devil by law, and the devil took the dominion from him, that authority to rule over all things made by God was taken away by Satan which made him become the god of this world until the Adam's lease is over.
"In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them." 2 Corinthians 4:4 KJV
The scripture called Satan the god of this world, that's because the authority has been handed over to him by Adam. This is why Jesus died and paid for our sins, buying us out of the bondage of sin and death, and restoring the dominion we lost back to us. So as many that are in Christ, the have the power to do all things through Jesus.
So the devil is the orchestrator of the evil of this world, he knows his time is almost over, so he is doing all he can to take as many people as possible with him to hell, but as many as are in Christ, our victory in Christ is secured., though we live in this world, but the we are not subjected to Satan's authority. No wonder we have been made pilgrims in this world. Are you still living in sin, are you still under the bondage of sin and worldliness, why not come back to Jesus, confess and renounce your sins, invite Jesus to be your Lord and saviour and He will take heed to your invitation. Be quick about your decision, tomorrow may be too late.
