THE GIFT OF THE WORD OF KNOWLEDGE

THE GIFT OF THE WORD OF KNOWLEDGE

Knowledge in itself is about 'knowing something', being aware of a particular fact, having information or Intelligence about something.

'A word of knowledge' as a gift of the Holy spirit is having divine information or divinely knowing about something of either the present or past occurrence without a prior knowledge about such occurrence. This gift will enables you to be open to information about what is happening or what has happened. This is a very important gift because it shed the light in any state of confusion or ignorance.

With the gift of the word of knowledge, you can know what you forefathers have been entangled with, that is now  wrecking havoc in the family, you can be aware about the source of a particular problem someone else is facing.

This gift belong to the group of the gifts known as the revelatory gifts, because it reveals unto you the unknown, it brings into open what is not known.

Then Peter said, “Ananias, how is it that Satan has so filled your heart that you have lied to the Holy Spirit and have kept for yourself some of the money you received for the land?" Acts 5:3 NIV

Remember the story of Ananias and Sapphira, they sold their piece of land, kept part of the money and brought the rest to Peter telling him that's all they sold the land for. Immediately peter knew they were lying, he received a word of knowledge about all they had done when no one was watching . Can you see how wonderful that gift is. When the Holy spirit endow you with this gift, He begins to give you accurate word of knowledge as He desires.

When Jesus saw Nathanael approaching, he said of him, “Here truly is an Israelite in whom there is no deceit.”  “How do you know me?” Nathanael asked. Jesus answered, “I saw you while you were still under the fig tree before Philip called you.”  Then Nathanael declared, “Rabbi, you are the Son of God; you are the king of Israel.” John 1:47‭-‬49 NIV

The gift of the word of knowledge is also very important in the evangelical ministry. When Philip told Nathaniel that he has found the Messiah, Jesus Christ of Nazareth, Nathaniel jested, "can anything good come out of Nazareth?", but when he met Jesus and Jesus gave him an accurate word of knowledge about himself, the same person that jested about Nazareth call Jesus Rabbi (teacher).

Sometimes you preach to some people and they make jest you and your spirituality, many even put forward a nonchalant attitude, some even begin to ask you naughty questions to pull your legs or to test you, an accurate word of knowledge about them is what you need to give and they will all be dazed, and have no other choice to submit to Jesus. Covet this gift, hunger and thirst for it.

                    ........GOD BLESS YOU
