GOD'S PATIENCE NOT WEAKNESS
"The Lord does not delay [as though He were unable to act] and is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is [extraordinarily] patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance." 2 PETER 3:9 AMP
There is an adage that says, 'The gentility of a tiger is not a symbol of stupidity'. Many has termed the patience of God to be weakness or slowness in fulfilling His promises and revelation about the end of the world, the second coming of the Lord Jesus, the rapture of the saints and the everlasting damnation or torment of the wicked. Many have blasphemed and even made it a subject of ridicule. To many, because its been over two thousand years and Jesus isn't here yet, it means Jesus isn't coming anymore, this has even been a motivation for some to dispute the existence of God.
God's patience is not a weakness neither is it a sign that He doesn't exist, but it is a sign of patience, waiting for men to be saved for them to escape the everlasting torment that await Satan, his cohots and all the children of disobedience. If Christ had come many years ago, would you have been saved? God has invested so much in man and He isn't just willing for man to be destroyed with the devil and all his cohots like that.
"Then the Lord God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being." Genesis 2:7 NIV
God created man and imparted into man His own spirit, His own divine nature, dominion to rule, to be the god of this world, to be exactly like He is. Isn't that what Satan wanted from the beginning that made him rebel against God? but God gave us freely.
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16 NIV
Even when man lost his glory, still God gave up His only son to be a lamb for the slaughter, Jesus Christ being God himself lay aside his Godhood and came in a form of flesh to be humiliated and shamefully hung on a cross, to redeem us from sin and the eternal damnation attached to it, thereby reconciling us back to God.
God himself came to relate with man during the old dispensations but man rejected Him, He sent His prophets to man but man rejected them, He sent His only begotten son to man (during the dispensation of Christ), yet man rejected, humiliated and killed Him and now He has sent His spirit to man. When the Holy spirit will be going back, He won't go alone, He will be leaving with all the saints on earth to meet with Jesus where we will be with Him forever (which we refer to as rapture). What then will be your excuse?
"This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live" Deuteronomy 30:19 NIV
God has and is still giving man more than enough grace and time to make the right choice. Please choose life, embrace Jesus as your Lord and personal saviour, allow Him to rule over your life and save your you from the impending doom that is about to befall sinners. Please make haste with your decision, tomorrow may be to late, JESUS IS WAITING FOR YOU. Time is running out.
