GOD'S THOUGH TOWARDS YOU
"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord , thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end." Jeremiah 29:11 KJV
Many times you look down on ourselves, due to your weaknesses, your condemn yourself, you allow situations to get hold of you and shatter your faith, you think you do not deserve anything great in life because you have really messed up, you believe you cannot measure up with others because of your background, unpleasant situations or terrible pasts, your might have even written yourself off, but the thought of God towards you is different.
You think and speak based on what we see and the present situation, but when God speaks, He does, not based on where you are but where He is taking you to, He speak with respect to the finished work of Christ, He speak with respect of His great purpose for your lives, He talks about you as if you are already where He has purposed you to be.
"And the angel of the Lord appeared unto him, and said unto him, The Lord is with thee, thou mighty man of valour." Judges 6:12 KJV
The angel of God appeared to the smallest boy from the poorest family in Manasseh, Gideon, and referred to him as 'The mighty man of valour', a brave man. This is someone who had to request for series of signs from God in order to be sure God has chosen him to deliver His people from the hands of the Midianites, He never believed it because he was looking at his small stature and feebleness, so weak that they were hiding from the Midianites in caves, but the angel of God refer to Him as a mighty man of valour. God wasn't looking at his present level, God was already seeing him as a deliverer of his people already, God was already seeing the greatness deposited in Him being fulfilled.
"I tore the kingdom away from the house of David and gave it to you, but you have not been like my servant David, who kept my commands and followed me with all his heart, doing only what was right in my eyes." 1 Kings 14:8 NIV
In the message of the Lord to Jeroboam, the Lord refer to David as a faithful servant that had kept His commands and followed Him with all his heart. The same David that committed an abominatble act with Basheeba, killed Uriah and took his wife, still, the Lord refer him as being a faithful servant that followed HIM with all his heart.
When God forgives you, He rids you off all sins and offences, He justifies you even before Himself as if you have never sinned before. Don't tarry in condemnation, confess your sins and repent of them, then hold onto the integrity of God's word. Don't meditate on your sins, God is looking at the greatness in you and He is calling them forth.
"... even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were." Romans 4:17 KJV
When God speaks, He speaks faith. He doesn't look at where you are from or where you are, He is looking at where He is taking you to. He is speaking, calling out the perfection He desire of you, He is calling out the greatness in you, He is calling out the exploit He has called you into, He is calling out the mighty man of valour in you. Never look down on your self, never be intimidated or envious of the exploit of others, never give up on yourself, God's thought towards you is great.
