NO INIQUITY, NO ENCHANTMENT
NO INIQUITY, NO ENCHANTMENT
"Surely there is no enchantment against Jacob, neither is there any divination against Israel .... "Numbers 23:23 KJV
This is a passage in the scripture many confess but are unconscious or ignorant of some facts behind it. This was a statement made by Balam when he was asked to curse the children of israel. In every effort he made, he pronounced blessing instead of curses, then he confessed that no man can curse who God has blessed. Indeed, there is no enchantment that can befall the children of God, but there is a secret behind this privilege the children of Israel enjoyed, this was because at that moment, no iniquity was found in them.
"Behold, I have received commandment to bless: and he hath blessed; and I cannot reverse it. He hath not beheld iniquity in Jacob, neither hath he seen perverseness in Israel: the Lord his God is with him, and the shout of a king is among them."
Numbers 23:20-21 KJV
Balam confessed that there was no iniquity in their midst of the children of Israel, neither was there any perverseness within them, therefore every enchantment and divination against them were rendered powerless.
Sin is like a crack on the wall of a believer, iniquity is like an opening that gives room for darkness to creep into lives of those that accommodate it. When there is a crack on the wall, then lizards and geckos can find there way into the wall. Most times, transgression and iniquity always precedes affliction. Sin creates a crack on the wall of a believer, it opens such life up for invasion by evil.
"Fools because of their transgression, and because of their iniquities, are afflicted." Psalms 107:17 KJV
"He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning..." 1 John 3:8 KJV
The scripture makes it clear that he who commits sin is of the devil, I.e. the devil has a right over anyone that bows to sin. He has a legal right over any life that give in to sin, no wonder he was able to steal the 'dominion and power' from Adam when he fell. Satan has no right over your life when you are perfect, when you are holy, when there is no crack on your wall.
Jesus said, "be ye holy, for I am holy", he didn't say this just to proof his superiority, he said it because that is the key to our freedom from affliction. As far as there is no inquity, there can never be enchantment, as far as there is no transgression, no divination can overcome us. No weapon fashioned against us shall prosper, this can only be when there is nothing of the attacker (the devil) in us, this can only be when we are not slaves to the him.
Have you allowed sin in one way or the other, have you been bound in affliction of sickness or poverty, Jesus can deliver you, He has come to destroy the works of Satan, come back to Him, give him your heart, let him be your lord again, then cry unto him to take away your afflictions. He has never fail, he will never fail. TOMORROW MAYBE TOO, JESUS AWAITS YOU.
