THE NIGHT TIME
THE NIGHT TIME
"And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness." Genesis 1:3-4 KJV
In the beginning, the earth was filled with darkness, and God called out light, but do you know God did not eradicate darkness? He only separated it from the light. He even gave it a name. He named the light 'day' and the darkness 'night' and ordained them to operate at different times. There is a purpose for the night time. Either you believe it or not, there will always be a night time, but the fact is that the night time is always a short time, THE SUN WILL SOON RISE.
The night time signifies the period of trials and challenges. It represents the time of lack or emptiness (the earth in darkness was without form and was void), a time of pain and silent tears. a time of storm, raging at its peak. But remember the scripture says even when the darkness filled the earth, the spirit of God was still moving upon the face of the waters. God will never leave you alone, He will never abandoned you. He will always be with you if you are His.
"And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters." Genesis 1:2 KJV
Have you noticed men seek God mostly in the night time, why men that have encounters with God does so at the night times? At the night time, men tend to be more focus and concentrated on God. Do you know sometimes, God uses the night time to get a man's attention? He uses 'pain' to call the attention of men to himself, not that he causes the pain but He allows it that men may acknowledged Him as the God when He delivers. Channel you pain into a hunger for an encounter with God.
Without the night time, many would have forgotten God, if everything were to be sweet and easy, who would remember the call of God on men. There are many powerful men of God that God used pain to bring them closer to Himself, now they are swimming in glory.
"When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee." Isaiah 43:2 KJV
He didn't promise you "no fire! no water!", but He promise to be with you in fire and in water, and you will not be consumed in them. He is with you even in the night time, so the terror and arrows of the night can not consume you. Let you night time draw you to God, let your pain push you to God. The night time is only but a short time.
The night time is a time of spiritual fertility. Most seed sown in the night always yield a great harvest. Don't be carried away with the pain and struggles, Utilize your night time to know Him more.
